American Well, which we've written about for their telemedicine programs in Texas and Minnesota, has its first two programs in the Northeast via BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York (BCBSWNY) and BlueShield of Northeastern New York (BSNENY). The Online Care program (no custom names here) will be available first to members this year and then in year two roll out per the Texas model to non-members and the uninsured. Consults with doctors can be done by webcam or phone, but are on doctors' non-office hours (versus the other states on a 24/7 model). Article. Release.
