Application for the iPhone to Save More Lives

Tuesday, 19 May 2009 06:50

What's more interesting? That emergency responders are being trained to look for sources of electronic information about a person's medical condition or that the iPhone application described in this press release has a 911 dialer? I guess it depends which side of the Atlantic you are on. As we discovered in a response to a previous item Freedom Alert from LogicMark, devices in the UK are not supposed to connect directly to the emergency system. But what's the difference between dialling 999 manually, or pressing a single button to do it? Either way, if you cannot speak they are likely to hang up on you.
