mgate delivers telehealth solution on JAOtech terminals

Thursday, 08 January 2009 09:54

There is an interesting story here – scuppered by the lack of any further information about it on either of the companies’ websites!

Basically, it appears that JAOtech supplies bedside TV monitors/phone terminals to hospitals that also allow doctors to access electronic records at the bedside, and two-way videoconferencing, and that mgate has now developed software to collect patient monitoring data via the terminals. The implications, including for health care at home, are potentially huge. Read the press release.
