Free news service to support you

Telecare Aware™ has been providing a specialised, free news and information service since 2005 to people interested in telecare and telehealth. Its purpose is to help service providers and suppliers around the world keep up to date with what each other are doing. As can be seen from the above chart it has been growing steadily - by word of mouth - for the past few years. It is an independent service without allegiances, except to its readers.

Telecare Aware rationale

Contrary to popular belief, Telecare Aware does not receive grant funding and, despite receiving some revenues from sponsorship and other advertising, is not - and probably never will be - a commercially viable operation in relation to the time spent reviewing news sources and digesting and presenting them. Why do it then?

Simply, it's a way site owner Steve Hards has of helping make a difference to the lives of older and disabled people. Telecare and telehealth systems have the potential to do that, and Telecare Aware supports (sometimes by being a 'critical friend') the people in the care services and industries trying to bring it about.

Impartiality

Where a news item is posted which concerns a company that has advertised on Telecare Aware, this is clearly indicated at the end of the item. Similarly, it is clear which companies have supported Telecare Aware financially with a paid listing in the Useful Sites directory.

Promote and support

If you value the service that Telecare Aware offers, please tell other people about it, and there is a 'donate' button on the right in case you wish to show your support in that way.

If you work for a company that operates in this field, draw your marketing manager's attention to Telecare Aware's Promote page.
