Grant funding in California for remote monitoring

Wednesday, 13 January 2010 18:53

If you have a remote monitoring technology that is already in the field and integrated with care organizations, this will be of interest.  The Center for Technology and Aging in Oakland, CA released application guidelines for its $500,000 Remote Patient Monitoring Diffusion Grants Program. Up to five one-year grants will be made to organizations successfully proposing programs that directly benefit older adults in managing chronic disease and maintaining independence (i.e. home care) rather than going into higher-cost care.  Eligible programs must use technologies that are proven and ready to be used more widely.  Many thanks to FierceHealthcare for getting the word out.  Release, FierceHealthcare article.
