Virtual Extra Care Service (VIRTEx)

A new project to develop communities of telecare users ('to build a virtual community of connected carers and cared-for, to deliver flexible community-based care, preserve social inclusion and maintain a healthier lifestyle and independent living by encouraging change in behaviour.')

Partners include Fold Housing Association, Housing 21, DigiTV, the University of Sheffield and Tunstall.
