Wakefield and District Housing alarm service anniversary (UK)

Friday, 19 March 2010 07:29
Why, you may ask, am I flagging up an organisation's press release about its 20th anniversary? The reason is that it is a good example of how information about a telecare service can be presented to the public in a clear, straightforward way without becoming part of a manufacturer's publicity machine. For example: "The first technology was 'hard-wired' alarm systems - cords that people could pull, which would alert us and we could take the appropriate action...Since then we've developed more sophisticated alarms and sensors that can actually analyse a person's day-to-day lifestyle." Congratulations to the Wakefield and District Housing telecare service team on their anniversary and for hitting the right note.
