WellDoc for diabetes mHealth gains FDA clearance

WellDoc [TA 16 July] announced today that their DiabetesManager gained FDA 510(k) clearance for marketing their system to healthcare providers and adult patients with type 2 diabetes.  The WellDoc system (Patient Coach, Expert System and Decision Support Tools) provides automated clinical coaching and behavioral algorithms driven by real-time patient data.  Healthcare professionals configure specific parameters, extending care beyond the usual office setting to mobile phones and online.  Commercial launch is projected for early next year.  Well done, WellDoc!  Release.  Website.
