A report published 3 May by the Scottish Executive’s Range and Capacity Review Group, ‘The Future Care of Older People in Scotland’, called for telecare services, being piloted in West Lothian, to be rolled out across Scotland. The Herald.

This is a great article from Fortune on the effect of introducing joined-up electronic systems in healthcare and re-balancing care between hospital and home. The interesting lesson is that within the organisation the visionary changes were driven through centrally: that previously leaving service arrangements to local users and managers had led to the Veterans’ Administration having a very poor reputation.
